 ※その他、個展、グループ展多数。 Born in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture in 1985, Arakaki Yuuka learned about the traditional craft of Bingata, and was fascinated by the vivid colors that defy the strong sunlight, and aspired to become a Bingata artist. After graduating from the dyeing and weaving design course at Okinawa Prefectural Shuri High School, she worked at Shuri Ryusen, Tamanaha Bingata Studio, and the Okinawa Prefecture Craft Guidance Center (Bingata Course) before making her debut as an artist in 2009, winning the grand prize at the Ryugin Bingata Design Contest for two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012. She was selected for the Japan Art Exhibition (Nitten) and the Japan New Craft Exhibition for four consecutive years. Her work has been used for bank books of the Bank of the Ryukyus, a traveling exhibition in Uruguay by the Japan Foundation, decorations in several famous hotels such as the Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort and the main lobby of Hotel JAL CITY Naha, an art textbook for 2nd and 3rd graders (Nihon Bunkyo Shuppan), and product designs and advertisements for several major companies. Her unique style has been highly evaluated due to her ideas, techniques, and materials that are not bound by the stereotype of traditional crafts. She is currently attracting attention from around the world as an up-and-coming Bingata artist based in Okinawa (Yomitan Village).
